S-equol

Equol (4',7-isoflavandiol) is an isoflavandiol,metabolized from daidzein, a type of isoflavone, by bacterial flora in the intestines.While endogenous estrogenic hormones such as estradiol are steroids, equol is a nonsteroidal estrogen.
