what is Berbamine

Berberine hydrochloride, isoquinoline alkaloids. Also known as berberine. In the other 4 families of the 10 genera of the genus Euphorbiaceae and many plants. The berberine from diethyl ether can precipitate yellow needle crystals. Berberine has antibacterial activity against hemolytic streptococcus, Staphylococcus aureus, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Freund's adjuvant, Shigella, and enhances leukocyte phagocytosis. Berberine hydrochloride (commonly known as berberine hydrochloride) has been widely used in the treatment of gastroenteritis, bacterial dysentery, tuberculosis, scarlet fever, acute tonsillitis and respiratory infections.
