Prostaglandin F2 (PGF2, in the name of prostaglandin), which is pharmacologically called dinoprostol (INN), is used medically as a natural prostaglandin for inducing and abortion.In mammals, it is produced when the uterus is stimulated because there are no fertilized eggs in the follicular phase and the uterus produces PGF2a.It works on the corpus luteum and causes it to degenerate, forming a fibrotic white body of the ovary.The activation of PGF2 was based on the number of luteal receptor 0.The PGF2 subtype 8-isoprostatin F2 was found to have a significant increase in endometriosis, and therefore is a potential factor of oxidative stress related to endometriosis.
