(1R)-(-)-trans-1,2-Cyclohexanediamine is always available from Shanghai UCHEM Inc., together with its enantiomer ((1S)-(+)-trans-1,2-Diamino -cyclohexane CAS: 21436-03-3) and other N-substituted derivatives. It is an off-white powder or pale-yellow oil, depending on the temperature, which could be dissolved in most of polar organic solvent.

(1R)-(-)-trans-1,2-Cyclohexanediamine is usually used as chiral auxiliary in many kinds of asymmetric organic reactions,  which is made by resolution of 1,2-diaminocyclohexane.
