Origin: The parent tree/plant - Salvia officinalis is believed to be a native of the countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, especially Hungary and Croatia.
Form: The Clary Sage oil is a thin consistency essential oil.
Scent: Clary Sage essential oil smells very much herbaceous, fruity, fresh, camphor-like.
Shade and Appearance: The Clary Sage oil is colorless clear with a Yellowish tinge in it.
Chemical constituents: The major components of Clary Sage oil are bornyl acetate, borneol, camphene, camphor, 1,8-cineole, limonene, linalool, myrcene, α&β -pinenes and α&β-thujones.
